Primary solutions

This is a programme which aims to improve access to health and social services to support mental well being. It includes free services such as doctor’s visits, counselling and social supports to people with mild-moderate problems like depression or anxiety. Unfortunately it is restricted to people with Community Services Card or of Maori or Pacific Island ethnicity or anyone aged under 25.

Diabetes checkups

Enrolled Patients of BCH with diabetes are entitled to one free visit every year, usually with the practice nurse. The aim of these visits is to check for the presence of the long term complications of diabetes and any other disorders that are more common in people with diabetes. These checks are an important part of the continuing care of people with diabetes.
